The Ideology of Saksham

Saksham celebrates one year since its launch-as an official society, a legal entity. However, the CONCEPT behind it was seeded much in the past. Many people have contributed towards the concept in all these years. Faces have changed over the years, but the CONCEPT hasn’t.

The concept underlying this society is that:

Every person with type 1 diabetes deserves to be HEARD and UNDERSTOOD with EMPATHY, without prejudice.

Every person with type 1 diabetes deserves to have the RESOURCES and KNOWLEDGE to take care of themselves in the best possible manner.

Every person with type 1 diabetes deserves EQUAL OPPURTUNITIES in every sphere of life- schools, workplaces and society.

Every person with type 1 diabetes deserves a LONG, HEALTHY, HAPPY and MEANINGFUL life.

The seed  has sprouted, lets water it and nourish it. Lets help it grow, so that fruits of this tree are available for generations to come.
